Be sure that you two have the same deductibles. That can make a significant difference. I pay $1000yr for my Durango R/T that I’ve had for the last five years and tow regularly with it. My trailers are included in the price of my insurance. I had to pay for the license plate when I got the trailers, but that’s it. I’m also in Ontario Canada and $2400/yr for insurance is a bit high even for the US. Check into the area that your living in. It might have a lot to do with your insurance rates. Highly populated areas are always higher in cost to insure a vehicle. Move into a small town and you’ll pay less, guaranteed. If you’re already in a small town, well, keep shopping around.
In Fl try Cash Register, they saved me a lot.
